The Xy Plasma cutting table, built by Robb and Nick and reborn thanks to Darren, gets a "Spring haircut" by electronics guru and CU engineering linchpin, Robb W.

"Let's wheel it out back and shoot it."

Bringing the machine back to life.

The rare smile.

Refuse, detritus, junk that was removed to streamline the electronics of the xy table.

Darren, one of the three legs of the invincible tripod of engineering minds that made possible the present incarnation of the xy table and especially it's rebirth in Linux. Subtract Darren and the whole thing collapses. He stopped by to work on the Smart House Project.

Nice new clean electronics box. Just the stepper motor drives. No fat.

The result of the days work (besides a working Xy table that needs no grounding!) A wonderful little "joyknob" with cool, oversized wheel that adjusts the z-axis. Note ultra-cool LED on left side of box. The plasma-on indicator. Awesome!

Although he had other obligations today Nick Spitzer, inspiration behind and ultimate father of the Xy table and Boulder Colorado's Resident Laser Wrangler and Jaywalker, is always present in spirit when work is being done on the Xy table; the machine that cannot be completely created nor thoroughly destroyed.
A Special Thank you to Nick, Darren and Man of the Hour (or is it last minute?) Robb.
